Education

Education is  the single most important factor and opportunity that will  lead to Louisiana’s success and revitalization; if we want to diversify our economy and ensure our future. We must increase resources and eliminate inefficiencies in our primary, secondary and post-secondary institutions. Every Louisianian deserves a quality education which at every level is an investment in our future.

  • Pay teachers more!

  • Provide more opportunity for and mandate extracurricular and volunteer involvement as a condition of graduation and matriculation for all Louisiana middle and high school students

  • Free school lunch

  • Protect libraries and librarians which are vital resources in our community.

  • Protect professor tenure

  • Expand on LA Regents Pathway to 2030

  • Look to consolidate state university systems

    • If it isn't prudent to consolidate the whole, then at least consolidate operations, applications, and entry requirements

    • facilitate seamless transfers and reduce administrative barriers to entry where possible.

  • Provide for a Constitutional Law (US & LA) course for Louisiana highschoolers

  • Phase in teaching of the metric system.
