  • Increase minimum wage to $12--LA residents haven’t received a raise since 2008. Legislators are currently considering a bill which would automatically adjust their pay rate to rise with the Consumer Price Index (inflation), why shouldn’t workers get the same consideration? This should apply to all workers, no exemptions for service or farm work.

  • Our legislature currently thinks Louisiana workers are worth less than workers in 34 states and territories including: Arkansas,Guam, Puerto Rico, Montana, South Dakota, Alaska and Florida to name a few. How can we hope to retain and attract workers if we can’t guarantee them even close to a living wage.

  • Submit bills/resolutions to study and implement a 4 day work week in Louisiana, the 5 day work week is a vestige from 100 years ago. The nature of work has changed. A four day work week would allow Louisianians to spend more time cultivating their families, their health and their own hobbies and interests

  • Amend the right to work to protect workers' right to peacefully strike without interference from managers and bosses.

  • Expand the use of the Promise Program to upskill and reskill as many Louisianians as possible to compete in the modern economy.
